Russian invasion of Ukraine

President Zelensky says, โthe withdrawal of Kherson is like World War II D-day โ a critical turning point on the road to victory," but the reality is that the war is not coming to an end.
Is the end near?
While Russian troops have withdrawn from Kherson , there are still large parts of southern and eastern Ukraine under Russian control.
In a broadcasted speech to leaders at the G20 summit in Bali, President Zelensky talked of how the liberation of strategically important Kherson felt like the turning part of other wars.
Zelensky compared the liberation of Kherson to WWII, โIt's like D-Day, for example, the Allied landings in Normandy. It was not yet an end point in the fight against evil, but it determined the whole course of events. That's exactly what we feel right now.โ
While the withdrawal is a huge victory for Ukraine, experts warn that it is too early for Ukraine to take the victory lightly. On the battlefield there are still no clear signs that the war is ending any time soon.
The situation in Kherson is also alarming. According to Zelensky, Russian troops destroyed all critical infrastructure before withdrawing, and the cityโs residents currently lack electricity, internet and communication facilities.
