Marina Zolotova and Ljudmila Tjekina, former editor-in-chief and Director-General of the independent Belariska news site Tut.by, have been sentenced to prison in Belarus.
Opposition leader Svetlana Tikhanovskaya calls the verdict an attempt to "kill honest journalism".
According to the human rights organization Vyasna, they were sentenced to 12 years in prison each in a closed-door trial in Minsk.
