Neither Elvira Öberg nor Linn Persson come to the start of the biathlon season's last world cup race, today's mass start in Holmenkollen.

Persson fell in yesterday's sprint and hurt his ankle, while Öberg needed rest.

Linn Persson had no perfect day in the world cup print on Saturday in Holmenkollen. She shot two booms and fell on the last hill.

"I made sälen there and also managed to get my foot with me at some unpleasant angle, I twisted it quite a lot. It's a bit tender now", said Persson to SVT after the race.

Then she didn't know how bad it was, but now it turns out that her foot hurts too much to get her started in today's mass start.

"After the crash yesterday she got more pain in her ankle. She tried to ski today but it hurt, so we won't risk anything," says national coach Johannes Lukas in a message.

Nor will Elvira Öberg, the best Swedish in the total world cup in a fifth place, drive the mass tart. The 24-year-old has made an excellent season in general, but has not been the same since a cold destroyed large parts of her World Cup in February.

In yesterday's sprint she did not get better than the 72s, and it was thus Öberg's last effort this world cup season.

"The body is not in the form we would have liked, although we have tried all the way. Now the focus is on recovery," says Lukas.
