At least seven people have been killed in a mass shooting in the community of Half Moon Bay south of San Francisco in the USA. One person is seriously injured.

The shooter first killed four people on one farm and then three people on another farm in the community. The link between the two crime scenes is still unclear.

The suspect shooter, a 67-year-old man, has been arrested, reports the authorities who also said that the suspect worked at one of the crime scenes and is a "unsatisfied employee".

About two hours after the alarm about the first shooting, a police officer found the suspect man in a car at a police station in Half Moon Bay. The man was arrested and the police also found a gun in the car.

The shooting in Half Moon Bay occurred less than 48 hours after a lone perpetrator shot 11 people dead at a dance studio in Monterey Park, California.

California Governor Gavin Newsom writes on Twitter that he was in the hospital and met survivors of the mass shooting in the dance studio when he learned about the action in Half Moon Bay.
