Svalbard ice is shrinking - equivalent to 20 Gotland

Isbjörnarna lockar turister till Svalbard. Men de är utsatta när nu isarna krymper på grund av människans framfart.

The sea ice around Svalbard has shrinked sharply since May, and the area is now 62,000 square kilometres smaller than normal. This corresponds to the size of 20 Gotland.

Among other things, it is feared that polar bears are dependent on ice-covered seas to survive.
